The Warriors’ last loss at home came two Kendrick Lamar albums ago: Jan. 27 against the Bulls. Not only are the Warriors still on pace to finish with the best record in regular season history, but they may also be the only team ever to finish with a perfect home record. But they have to believe it to achieve it, man. Draymond Green believes.
Green, who’s become Golden State’s emotional engine, told NBA.com‘s Scott Howard-Cooper that, yes, he believes Oracle Arena won’t see a loss.
“We’ve been phenomenal at home,” Green said. “We’ve protected our home court. I think it’s possible for us to do it.”
When the Warriors were still unbeaten on any court, Steph Curry reportedly said he thought his squad was capable of making it to 33-0, which would’ve been the record for longest winning streak. Golden State blew it nine games later. They got 15 more games at home this season, so hopefully the jinx waits a little longer.
